Jesu namns orden

The Order of the Name of Jesus was a chivalric order established by King Charles X Gustav in 1656. The name of the order derives from the central symbol of its insignia, consisting of the letters IHS (Iesus Hominum Salvator), just like the Order of the Seraphim. The coat of arms of the House of Vasa is also included, as in the later Order of Vasa.
The order was worn by the king himself, and after him also by Charles XI. Very little else is known about the order.
