The Defence Medal for Distinguished Service of the Kingdom of Denmark (Danish: Forsvarets Medalje for Fremragende Tjeneste) is an award established on 7 December 2009. The Chief of Defence of the Danish Armed Forces awards the medal to Danes and foreigners, military personnel and civilian employees, for distinguished service to the Danish Defence.
Men wear the gold medal on the left breast, suspended from a white silk ribbon folded into a pentagon with two broad red stripes. On undress uniform, military personnel wear a white ribbon bar with two red stripes. The obverse depicts the three passant lions from the Danish coat of arms.
The medal is the successor to the earlier Defence Medal for Distinguished Service Abroad.
