The Medal for Good Service in the Emergency Management Agency (formerly the Medal for Good Service in the Civil Defence) is an official Danish decoration established on 25 April 1963 by King Frederik IX.
The medal is awarded to anyone who has rendered good service in the emergency management service for 25 years. After 40 years of good service, a silver oak leaf is added. After 50 years, the oak leaf is replaced with a gold one.
In addition, the medal may be awarded to persons who have made a special contribution to the emergency management service. It may be awarded to all personnel groups in the emergency management service, including volunteers, reserve personnel, employees and partners outside the service, including foreign nationals.
A person who has received either the Medal for Good Service in the Copenhagen Fire Brigade, the Jubilee Medal for Good Service in the Frederiksberg Fire Corps, or the Medal for Good Service in the Fire Service cannot receive the Medal for Good Service in the Emergency Management Service.
