The Commemorative Badge for King Frederik IX (Danish: Kong Frederik IX’s mindetegn) is a Danish decoration. The decoration was instituted on 30 June 1972 by his daughter and successor, Margrethe II of Denmark. As is customary in Denmark, the decoration was awarded to a number of the King’s close associates. The recipient may place the letters Fr.IX.M.T. after his or her name.
Seventy badges were struck, of which 64 were awarded. The badge takes the form of a crowned laurel wreath tied together, with the monogram F IX in the centre. It is worn on the left breast and measures 52 by 43 millimetres. The decoration weighs 26.3 grams.
