The Commemorative Medal for the 50th Anniversary of King Christian X’s Graduation from the Military Academy (Danish: Kong Christian den Tiendes Erindringsmedaille til Minde om 50-års dagen for Hans Majestæts Afgang fra Officersskolen) is a Danish decoration.
The medal was awarded on 20 March 1941 to comrades from the officer class of the later Danish king. Contrary to the customs of the Danish court, the king had attended the Military Academy and completed officer training. The king was proud of this, and as early as 1916 a medal was instituted to decorate military personnel from his class on the occasion of the King’s 25th anniversary as an officer. 105 medals were struck.
The round silver medal is worn on the left breast, suspended from a red ribbon folded into a pentagon, with a white cross woven into it. The medal is surmounted by a silver royal crown, which forms the connection to the ring and ribbon.
The obverse depicts King Christian X with the inscription “CHRISTIANUS X REX DANIÆ”. The reverse bears the dates “1889 5 Mai 1939” within the customary oak wreath. The medal is signed by Lindahl on the edge.
