Bintang Jasa

The Star of Service (Bintang Jasa) is a mark of honor awarded by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to honor someone for their service and struggle. This mark of honor was established in 1963. The star ranks one level below the Star of Mahaputera.

The Star of Service is awarded to those who have rendered great service to the state and nation in a particular field, event, or matter. As the person who awards the honor, the President of Indonesia is automatically the holder of its first class, the “Star of Service, First Class.” The Vice President of Indonesia is also automatically the holder of the first class of this honor, just like the President.
