The Medal for Bravery (Medaila Za statočnosť) is a Slovak military decoration. It is awarded by the President of the Slovak Republic in recognition of military service or a meritorious deed by a soldier, selflessness in dealing with the consequences of natural disasters and technological accidents, and in saving lives and substantial property.
The medal may also be awarded to soldiers of foreign armies.
The establishment and awarding of military medals is governed by Act No. 370/1997 Coll., the Military Service Act, and its two amendments—Act No. 10/2000 Coll. and Act No. 512/2002 Coll.
