The Devotion Medal (Satyalancana Bhakti) is an honorific distinction in the form of a military medal that has the same rank as other Satyalancana medals. This distinction is awarded by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to a soldier of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and an Indonesian citizen (WNI) who has rendered extraordinary service as a defender of the nation and the sovereignty of the people while carrying out military duties, and has consequently sustained wounds as a direct result of enemy action and through no fault of their own, requiring medical treatment.
This distinction was first established in 1958 through Emergency Law No. 2 of 1958 concerning Awards for Members of the Armed Forces. This law was subsequently replaced by Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 20 of 2009 concerning Titles, Service Awards, and Honorific Distinctions.
This military medal has the same rank as other Satyalancana medals, has no classes, and is suspended from a ribbon.
